Up ahead was the place. Once they turned into this fork in the road, not far ahead would be the territory village. It was surrounded by mountains on three sides; from afar, the mountains were lush and green, stretching endlessly, and the valley formed a giant U-shape.
When they saw the tall rising wall, they finally let out a faint breath of relief, but they still couldn’t lower their guard. The zombie tide was getting closer and closer to this place.
“Qi Yue, go in with them first.” Lin Yuze said as he fastened his gun at his waist.
“I’m staying, together.” Qi Yue looked up at Lin Yuze, then lowered his head again to fiddle with the weapon in his hands, glancing at the rear of the vehicle from time to time.

“Stop freaking yelling, go in first.” Qi Yue fired at the zombies around him, aiming at another level-five zombie.
Just as everyone was gathered at the gate and about to go inside through the open entrance, a strong sense of danger swept over them. Liao Feifan followed the horde with his eyes and saw a red-clothed zombie staring directly at his position. Above level eight, he couldn’t tell exactly. Its threat was immense. A thunderous boom erupted, and a thick wall of earth blocked the entire gate. Tang Ke and Lin Yuze watched helplessly as Qi Yue was sealed outside.

The ability users blocked outside weren’t many. Their backs were pressed to the wall as the zombies surged toward them. Liao Feifan pulled Liu Yue behind him, protecting her.
Among these people, Yan Bin and Liao Feifan were the highest in ability level. Instinctively, they targeted the powerful, dangerous red-eyed zombie within the horde. Yet every attack they launched was dodged by the zombie’s quick movements.

Qi Yue gripped his knife, slicing off the hand of a zombie grabbing at him. The rotten limb thudded to the ground. He pulled back his knife and kept shooting zombies.
Watching Liu Yue climb the ladder, Qi Yue frowned. His ability seemed to be wearing off. He raised his hand and locked onto Liu Yue.
Liu Yue held the ladder proudly and began climbing upward. She had barely climbed a few steps when a gust of air shot toward her.
With a scream, Liu Yue clutched her hand and fell to the ground. The ladder was cut clean in half.
On the other side of the helicopter, zombies had already begun climbing the remaining ladder. Seeing the best timing had passed, the helicopter circled above a few times before rising higher and flying away.
The surrounding zombies smelled blood and grew even more frenzied. Seeing the zombies around her, Liu Yue screamed in terror and attempted to enter her space. But unexpectedly, the ability she had only moments ago no longer responded.
Liao Feifan barely dodged the red-eyed zombie’s ability. A gust of cold air swept by him, and the zombie appeared right in front of him. Too fast, at least level eight, maybe nine.

The female zombie wearing torn red clothes, her small frame appearing frail, let out a roar. With one leap, she disappeared into the horde.
The wound was hideous, flesh turned outward. Seeing Liu Yue’s outstretched hand, Liao Feifan instinctively dodged. Liu Yue lunged at empty air.
“Qi Yue, get up here!”
A familiar voice sounded overhead, and several rope hooks were thrown down from above.
