The Whole Sect Is Acting Strange Chapter 71

Chapter 71

Compared to this book, “Adventures of a Wild Country Playboy,” Pei Yunshu felt that everything he had read before was nothing.

After the charming young master encounters an assassination attempt, he is saved by a solitary hunter living in the countryside. The hunter is tall, strong, silent, and reserved. Although he doesn’t like to talk, he treats the charming young master exceptionally well. To repay him, the young master, on a stormy night with thunder, engages in passionate activities with the hunter throughout the night.

“…” Pei Yunshu’s hand, holding the book page, trembled, revealing an incredulous expression on his face.

The author described the details of their activities in great detail, and the publisher seemed to think that wasn’t enough. Below, there was even an illustration of a gently floating canopy bed, with the fair and slender legs of the rich young master protruding from the bed, and a strong hand gripping the young master’s ankle.

Pei Yunshu quickly flipped the page, and the next page was filled with expressions like “Mmm” throughout. He closed the book, treating it like a hot potato, and threw it into the corner of the room.

As scholars, how could they dare to write such things?

Pei Yunshu sat up slowly, calmed his mind, and walked to the edge of the water. He splashed some cold water on his face. After calming down, he couldn’t help but glance at the book several times.

He wanted to know what would happen next in the story.

At that moment, Pei Yunshu suddenly looked towards the door. Zhuyou entered the secret room, and his hair and shoulders were already wet. There was water dripping from his face, and a damp smell filled the air.

“Is it raining outside?” Pei Yunshu couldn’t help but ask.

Zhuyou nodded, and his black hair was slightly curled under the rain. “A torrential downpour.”

“Is there thunder?”

Zhuyou nodded again.

It must be quite a big storm. Pei Yunshu was about to tell him not to go out, but in a glance, he noticed the book he had thrown in the corner.

The story in the book also happened on a stormy night with thunder and lightning, where the charming young master and the hunter went to sleep.

Pei Yunshu cleared his throat.

In a moment of distraction, his hands became warm. Zhuyou was holding his hand, frowning and saying, “Why are your hands so cold?”

Pei Yunshu subconsciously looked at their joined hands. His skin was paler than Zhuyou’s. With a casual glance, Zhuyou’s hands were much larger than his. In the treasury, when the Black Dragon transformed into a human, he could easily grip Pei Yunshu’s ankle with one hand.

Pei Yunshu withdrew his hand without showing any emotion. “Are you still going out?”

Zhuyou remained silent, first finding a thick cloak for Pei Yunshu to wrap around himself. Then he said, “I need to go out one last time.”

After arranging the cloak for Pei Yunshu, Zhuyou felt it wasn’t warm enough. He furrowed his brow for a moment, then untied Pei Yunshu’s cloak, lifted him horizontally, and opened the soft blanket to lay him on the bed.

Pei Yunshu was confused. As he was about to get up, Zhuyou pressed down on his shoulders, urging him to lie down. He bent down, and a moist kiss landed on the corner of Pei Yunshu’s eye.

“Be good,” Zhuyou, imitating the way mortal parents comfort their children, spoke calmly but patiently, “I’ll come back to sleep with you.”

Pei Yunshu paused for a moment, then silently buried his face in the blanket.

When there was no sound, he peeked out, only to find that Zhuyou had left at some point. There were still some steaming sugar cakes and fragrant dried meat by the bedside. Pei Yunshu looked at the food for a while, picked up a piece of dried meat, and put it in his mouth.

Delicious.

While enjoying the food, he couldn’t resist picking up the discarded book and continued reading the remaining story in this cozy secret room with no disturbance.

When Zhuyou returned to the East Sea, the waves surged violently, and the sky demonicened under a stormy weather with a terrifying momentum.

He submerged into the water, intending to head towards the Dragon God’s Secret Realm. However, a flash of white light appeared on the shore, and a white figure descended on the East Sea coast.

Amidst the fierce storm, this white figure remained untouched by a single drop of rain. His robes fluttered in the wind, and his face was as cold as frost.

Zhuyou glanced at him briefly, then calmly averted his gaze and continued towards the deep sea.

The waves roared, and Venerable Wuwang, watching the waves threatening to engulf the shore, lifted his steps onto the water’s surface.

After taking two steps, a merman was shaken out from under the sea. The merman’s face showed fear, and his fair complexion turned pale.

“Where is the Dragon God’s Secret Realm?” Venerable Wuwang asked with lowered eyes.

The merman, seemingly crazed, shook his head repeatedly.

Venerable Wuwang fell silent for a moment. A massive wave approached, and before reaching him, it was covered in a layer of frost, freezing right in front of him.

The merman cried like a frightened baby. The man in white asked again, “Have you seen a black dragon?”

The merman continued shaking his head.

Venerable Wuwang raised his gaze, looking towards the tumultuous East Sea.

After a while, he lowered his head and glanced at the deep and bottomless azure sea below.

Because he didn’t know when Zhuyou would return, Pei Yunshu sped up his reading.

As the story progressed, Pei Yunshu became increasingly astonished. After the charming young master and the hunter became a couple, they lived like a married couple, full of love and sweetness every day. When the hunter prepared the hunted animals’ fur to be sent to the county magistrate’s house in town, the charming young master accompanied him. However, the magistrate’s younger son took a liking to the charming young master, forcibly taking him away, severely injuring the hunter, and sending him back to the countryside.

The charming young master was heartbroken. He escaped from the magistrate’s house but coincidentally ran into a general passing by. Pleading for protection, the general, moved by his pitiful state, took him along to the capital.

During their journey, a deep bond formed between the charming young master and the general.

They embraced under the moonlight while riding at night. After returning to the capital, the general, learning about the charming young master’s unfortunate background, took drastic actions against the young master’s family. After avenging the charming young master, the two lovers were about to share their feelings over a drink when they heard that the emperor intended to marry his daughter to the general.

Heartbroken, the charming young master left the general, returning to his role as a wealthy young master. However, this time, no one dared to trouble him anymore.

Although the charming young master was truly charming, he had genuine feelings for both the hunter and the general. He was proud and would rather leave the general than engage in private affairs with him. The recurring heartbreaks were truly distressing.

Pei Yunshu wiped away the bitterness in his eyes, once again marveling at the author’s storytelling skills. He turned the page, gazing at the general’s silhouette as he watched the young master leave. Flipping further, he saw the charming young master returning home. A servant brought a basin of warm water for him to wash his feet.

The servant lifted his face, revealing the appearance of the hunter.

It turned out that from beginning to end, it was a scheme orchestrated by the charming young master. He had targeted the general early on, intending to use the general’s hand to eliminate his enemies. This elaborate plan was nothing more than a counterplot.

Even the princess given to the general in marriage fell in love with him under his design.

Pei Yunshu felt like he had been struck by lightning. He mechanically finished the last few pages. When Zhuyou entered, he met Pei Yunshu’s lifeless gaze.

Zhuyou was puzzled. “What’s wrong?”

Pei Yunshu came to his senses, reluctantly closing the book. “Zhuyou, where did you get these books?”

Zhuyou said, “I bought them.”

Glancing at Pei Yunshu, he added, “Paid for them.”

Pei Yunshu nodded absentmindedly, looking at the remaining dozens of books piled together. His eyes were filled with complexity, and ultimately, he felt that he couldn’t handle it. He decided to leave these books aside for now.

Zhuyou said, “Yunshu.”

Pei Yunshu snapped out of his thoughts, turning to look at Zhuyou. He didn’t see anything unusual about Zhuyou, so he asked, “Are you still going out?”

Zhuyou shook his head. His demonic eyes were fixed on Pei Yunshu. After observing Pei Yunshu strangely, he moved his hands and took off his outer garment.

“It hurts,” he frowned, “I’m shedding my skin.”

A pang of concern tightened in Pei Yunshu’s heart.

Zhuyou got on the bed, and his warm breath enveloped him, filled with Pei Yunshu’s scent everywhere. He closed his eyes contentedly and hugged Pei Yunshu. “It doesn’t hurt when I’m holding you.”

Pei Yunshu hesitated for a moment and then laid down, lifting his hand to embrace Zhuyou, placing both hands loosely on his back.

He gently patted Zhuyou’s back, as if soothing a child to sleep. “Zhuyou, it won’t hurt when you sleep.”

The two embraced, and Zhuyou’s cold body quickly melted away.

It seemed like a peaceful moment.

However, soon Pei Yunshu felt that something was wrong.

He stiffly lifted his head to look at Zhuyou, who was silently gazing at him. His deep black eyes were like bottomless pools. Suddenly, he leaned in, and his tongue licked the corner of Pei Yunshu’s lips.

“Yunshu…” a voice, full of desire and plea.

Pei Yunshu turned away, leaning against the wall, lost in thought.

The person behind him pressed closer, hands exploring beneath the clothes. The voice of the dragon was pitiful, and Pei Yunshu restrained his hands.

“Don’t move,” he whispered, “Zhuyou, behave.”

Zhuyou truly stopped moving.

But Pei Yunshu felt increasingly uneasy. The person behind him was breathing more sharply with each passing moment, and the areas touched by his advances were becoming increasingly heated.

The explicit language from the book he had just read echoed in his mind.

Along with those few suggestive strokes in the illustrations that had inadvertently caught his eye.

Is he in a relationship with Zhuyou similar to the one in the adult novels?

Throughout the night, Pei Yunshu’s mind was filled with countless thoughts, and he eventually fell asleep without knowing when. In his dream, he suddenly saw himself at the inn in the Demon Ghost Market, with Zhuyou standing behind him. As he turned around, his lips brushed against Zhuyou’s jaw.

He saw Zhuyou smile, his eyes suddenly lighting up with sparkling joy.

Pei Yunshu stared blankly at Zhuyou, who cherished and carefully held him in his arms, his movements awkward, restraining his strength.

“Mine,” accompanied by kisses falling one after another, “like, mine.”

When Pei Yunshu woke up again, he heard a suppressed groan.

He instantly opened his eyes to see Zhuyou lying half-human, half-demon in the narrow stream. His eyes were bloodshot, fists clenched as he pounded the stone walls on either side. The scales on his tail kept hitting sharp rocks, leaving behind small wounds.

It looked incredibly painful.

Shedding his skin seemed to cause Zhuyou unbearable agony.

Sitting on the bed, Pei Yunshu observed for a while, his emotions gradually calming. He took out a bottle of wine from his storage bag, tilted his head back, and took a big gulp.

The fragrance of the wine wafted, and the crimson liquid flowed down from the corner of his lips, dampening his collar. In the water, Zhuyou caught a whiff of the scent. His consciousness returned, and he looked at Pei Yunshu, their eyes meeting.

As if the pain momentarily faded from him, Pei Yunshu saw the tension in Zhuyou’s palm gradually easing.

The dragon’s eyes in the water were serious, so serious that he forgot about the pain.

Pei Yunshu placed the wine bottle aside, got off the bed, and stepped barefoot on the ground, undoing the belt on his waist.

His clothes fell to the ground one by one. Despite the chill, the bold wine made him feel warm all over.

When he reached the water’s edge, Pei Yunshu was completely clean.

He let out a small hiccup from the alcohol.

Seemingly forgetting that he was still shedding, Zhuyou stared at Pei Yunshu with a somewhat silly expression.

Entering the water, Pei Yunshu parted the cold water, hands on Zhuyou’s neck, sitting on the half-demonic body of Zhuyou.

Skin pressed against skin, warmth turned into scorching heat.

What….does this mean?

Zhuyou’s voice was hoarse. He stared at Pei Yunshu without blinking, his entire body stiff like stone, afraid to make any movement.

Pei Yunshu buried his head in the nape of Zhuyou’s neck, rubbing against his neck. Long hair scattered down his back, revealing a shimmering white back.

“Does it still hurt?”

He asked, mixed with the fragrance of wine.

Zhuyou’s Adam’s apple moved, and he was about to shake his head when he nodded slightly ahead of time.

Pei Yunshu frowned and leaned closer to Zhuyou, imprinting his lips on Zhuyou’s lips. Seeing Zhuyou staring at him intently, he raised his eyes and smiled at the dragon.

In an instant, Zhuyou took him to the soft-as-clouds bed.

“Yunshu, Yunshu, Yunshu…”

Low and hoarse, each word drier than the last.

Pei Yunshu didn’t respond for a while. After a long time, he finally answered.

Zhuyou’s gaze on him was like fire, like a famished beast after a long hunger, blood rushing to his head. It felt like he could devour every bone in his body.

Such a gaze should be intimidating, but in Pei Yunshu’s eyes, he saw the urgency and pitiful look in the dragon’s eyes.

He gently nodded.

In this moment, it seemed like everything was set aside. Outside, a storm raged, but here, it was quiet and warm. This warmth was so enticing, it could make one reluctant to leave, and it could also make one’s heart tender.

It might be a mixture of impulse and not a well-thought-out decision.

Pei Yunshu brought Zhuyou’s head closer and lightly pecked his lips.

But now, all he wanted was to prevent him from feeling pain.
